If you grew up playing with LEGO® bricks, then you’re not going to want to miss out on this exhibit featuring over 90 LEGO® sculptures by artist Nathan Sawaya. The ‘Art of the Brick: An Exhibition of LEGO®’ has already made waves around the world, impressing over 10 million visitors—and this ground-breaking exhibit is finally coming to Raleigh!
The ‘Art of The Brick Experience’ exhibition is coming to Raleigh this May! Don’t miss your chance to see this iconic exhibit, as it’s only in town for a limited time! Tickets have just been released to the public, so be sure to secure your spot here!
Former New York City lawyer turned contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya is the mastermind behind this stunning exhibition that takes these small plastic LEGO® bricks and turns them into stunning, larger-than-life works of art.
What we love most about this exhibit is the range of sculptures. You’ll find everything, including human figures, landscapes, toys, games, everyday items turned into extraordinary art like shoes and an umbrella, and even famous paintings that turn iconic brushstrokes into LEGO® masterpieces.
If you’re a lover of classic art, then you must see these famous works transformed before your eyes. Gustav Klimt’s famous portrait of ‘The Kiss’ will be on display, as well as Michelangelo’s ‘David’ statue, and replicas of Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’, Edvard Munch’s ‘The Scream’, and Da Vinci’s ‘Mona Lisa’.
If you have a family member with a penchant for the prehistoric, don’t miss the 20-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton.
Of course, Sawaya’s most famous work will be on display in Raleigh. The sculpture Yellow features the torso of a male who rips open his chest to reveal hundreds of LEGO® bricks pouring from it.
