Let’s face it, finding a unique and exciting way to celebrate Valentine’s Day isn’t an easy task, but when has love ever been easy? Just ask your favorite singer. “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”, “I Want to Know What Love Is”, “What Is Love?” – they’re all as equally confused and lovesick as we are. But thanks to this series of heart-warming Candlelight concerts, finding a special plan to swoon your other half this Valentine’s season is easier than ever.
Chocolates go stale and roses wilt, but memories made by candlelight last a lifetime, and this dreamy candlelit concert is proving just that. As you take your lover by the hand inside Merrimon-Wynne House, a gifted string quartet will be performing timeless love songs by the likes of Giacomo Puccini, Ennio Morricone and more. Sharing in the magic of experience with your one and only is the perfect way to pull on the heart strings, and Candlelight is providing Raleigh’s hopeless romantics with a one-way ticket to the land of love this Valentine’s Day.
Candlelight: Valentine’s Day Special ft. “Romeo and Juliet” and More
Candlelight’s signature sea of twinkling candles and soothing sounds of live music are a match made in heaven. Add the stunning 19th-century architecture of Merrimon-Wynne House to the mix, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for romance. This Valentine’s Day, Candlelight is flying the flag of love with the help of spellbinding renditions of iconic hits such as “Moon River” and “My Heart Will Go On” performed by Lyricosa String Quartet. So, if you’re wondering “Where Is The Love?” in Raleigh this year, wonder no more, my love-struck friend! Candlelight is dialing up the romance and getting hearts racing in North Cackalacky’s capital this February 14.
The day of expensive gifts, high expectations and unnecessary pressure is right around the corner. But instead of stressing out over the trivial things that taint the season of love, why not cuddle up with your boo and experience the magic of Candlelight together? An intimate evening showered in live music and candlelight is as romantic as it gets, and no amount of chocolates or roses could make us think otherwise.
There’ll be two performances taking place each evening, one at 6:30pm and the other at 8:30pm. Each show lasts 65 minutes and doors will open one hour prior to the start of the show.
