Autumn is in full swing and with it, some of the most beautiful foliage we’ve ever seen. There are a few choice areas in North Carolina to admire mother nature doing its autumnal thing, like Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the most stunning spans of road in North Carolina. The trees in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park begin to do their annual transition from soft greens to fiery red, striking orange, and gold. Asheville lights up in warm tones. And the trees lining Lake Lure become crisp and gold as they dance across the lake edge. In honor of the stunning nature in North Carolina, here’s a round up of photos taken by some talented local photographers and fall-appreciators.
